Rebirth / Renaciendo

Since my last blog update, I've dedicated myself to discovering and studying different artists, techniques and making art (trying and failing uncountable times). I'm working on a series of paintings to create a new portfolio. It feels like starting from scratch but in a better and more mature way, taking my job as an artist to a whole new level.

A lot has changed, I used to paint only with brushes but now I'm a palette knife artist and I really love it! I discovered that not all the knives are flexible enough or good quality so I recommend that you invest in good tools. I decided to buy some some knives that are made in Italy and they are great! They are light, flexible and it feels so good and free to work with them and every time I'm working on a canvas it's exciting to find new forms and textures.

My main goals for this year are to paint a lot and take part in exhibitions and events...  let's see how everything goes and the possibilities; also all my new paintings will be available for sale very soon, so stay tuned!

This is the real beginning...

Desde mi última entrada me he dedicado a descubrir y estudiar diferentes artistas, técnicas y hacer arte (probando y fallando innumerables veces). Estoy trabajando en una serie de pinturas y con estas voy a crear un nuevo portafolio. Se siente como empezar desde cero pero de una manera diferente, mejor y más madura, impulsando mi trabajo como artista a un nivel completamente nuevo.

Durante este tiempo han cambiado muchos cosas; solía pintar sólo con pinceles, pero ahora soy una artista que pinta con espátula y me encanta. Descubrí que no todas las espátulas son lo suficientemente flexibles o de buena calidad así que recomiendo invertir en buenas herramientas. Decidí comprar unas espátulas hechas en Italia y son excelentes; son ligeras, flexibles y se siente libertad al trabajar con ellas. Cada vez que estoy trabajando en un lienzo es emocionante encontrar nuevas formas y texturas.

Mis objetivos principales para este año son pintar mucho y participar en exposiciones o eventos; veamos cómo se va dando todo y las posibilidades... además todas mis nuevas pinturas estarán disponibles a la venta muy pronto. Los mantendré informados.

Este es el verdadero comienzo ...
